Security Awareness, Crime Prevention and Reporting
Representatives of the University join together to provide information and advice to students, parents, and employees, allowing them to become familiar with the Department of Public Safety and Transportation and to address concerns and questions.
Adelphi Public Safety Officers are trained to investigate most crimes, however, the local police department will typically be contacted for crimes of a more serious nature. Adelphi University Public Safety Officers on the Garden City campus are accessible to students 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, 365 days per year
Residence Hall Building Meetings
Public Safety staff go to individual residence halls each semester to discuss security and safety issues concerning the residents. TheResidential Life and Housingstaff periodically conduct their own basic crime prevention discussions in their residence halls.
