With a Doctor of Audiology, you’ll make a powerful difference in the lives of your patients—gaining a strong scientific and theoretical background. You’ll build clinical skills that allow successful prevention, identification, assessment and treatment of individuals with dysfunction in hearing and communication, balance and other auditory-related systems. Upon graduation, you can pursue top clinical leadership positions in hospitals, schools and clinics.
The Long Island AuD Consortium truly sees the potential in each student. Led by faculty who provide outstanding academic, clinical and research guidance, the program prepares students to be well-rounded audiologists.
Graduates of the Long Island AuD Consortium are eligible for certification by theAmerican Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)and state licensure in audiology.

In January 2020, seven-third year audiology doctoral students and two clinical professors, Dr. Ianthe Dunn-Murad and Dr. Rose Valvezan had the unique and humbling opportunity to travel with the Starkey Hearing Foundation to El Salvador, Central America to provide hearing services to over 1,200 individuals with hearing loss and hearing impairments.
