Policy

In response to the financial stress the pandemic has placed on the University, Adelphi is making voluntary salary reductions available to all employees. The savings generated by these reductions will be used in this fiscal year to reduce the negative financial impact of the crisis. If an employee wishes to participate in this voluntary effort, they must contact the Office of Human Resources athumanres@adelphi.edu处理他们想要做的任何调整。

The employee’s decision to participate in a voluntary salary reduction will be kept strictly confidential. Any salary reduction must be documented in writing and signed by each employee choosing to reduce their salary. New York State formsLS 54 (for hourly employees)andLS 59 (for exempt salaried employees)will be used for this purpose. Additionally, you understand that all benefits based on salary, such as 403(b) contributions and life insurance costs, will be reduced as well. This voluntary salary reduction agreement will be stopped if Adelphi mandates a salary reduction affecting you during this time period. This action is voluntary and confidential and does not affect any other terms of employment.
